Hiring: Mechanic

- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: M-F (7am-4pm)
Join the Beach Transportation team as a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic in Missoula, MT! We’re a local, family-owned business specializing in school bus and motor coach transportation, and we’re looking for skilled mechanics from any industry to join our team. This position is full-time and year-round with peak times during the academic school year.

Fleet Mechanic Duties
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on school buses and motor coaches
- Able to multi-task between work orders and bus issues
- Responds to stranded vehicles and able to perform off-site maintenance
- Test drive and diagnose equipment issues
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure safety compliance
- Report hazardous equipment and corrective actions
- Assist with other related tasks as needed
- May be required to drive school bus routes occasionally
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to obtain a CDL (we provide in-house training)
- Previous experience working with gas or diesel engines
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Comfortable with basic computer use: emails, work orders, fleet systems
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of tools and the ability to provide their own tool supply on site
Hiring: School Bus Drivers

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a school bus and transport students to and from school

Ensure student safety and timely arrival

Maintain a professional, caring attitude toward students
Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – we’ll train you!

Pass a physical exam and drug screening

Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more

Have a clean driving record (no DUI or Reckless Driving)

Hiring: School Bus Attendants
💲 Starting at $16.50/hour
Responsibilities:

Assist with loading and unloading physically and/or mentally impaired students

Help the driver with student discipline and route information

Ensure a safe and supportive ride for all students
Qualifications:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

Capable of understanding and following written and verbal instructions
